"...for pleasure has no relish unless we share it."

- Virgina Woolf

Our passion for food and entrepreneurship led us to launch Relish Food Project. We have over a decade of food start-up experience, with expertise in every aspect of the business – sales, marketing, finance, operations, management, human resources, capital-raising – you name it, we have done it. Through this, we have a deep understanding of how all aspects of a food business work together, where they often conflict, and how to track key metrics to reach goals. We are proud to be a part of today’s food movement and are excited by the rise in the number of natural and specialty food entrepreneurs. It's an exciting time as food advocates and artisans challenge the status quo. We want to help these companies grow and thrive and be a force for change. Relish Food Project proudly incorporated in January 2014 as a Benefit Corporation in NY State.

MEET OUR AMAZING TEAM!

ANNA SCHMIDT - Finance Director

Where you come from: New Jersey

Why you love numbers: Numbers are the common language that businesses are built on and once I get a handle on what the they are saying, I enjoy telling the story of where the business has been and helping narrate where it’s going.

If you weren’t working at Relish and could be doing anything you wanted to do everyday  - what would it be? Trapeze Artist

If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would spend it at home in New York City, visiting all of the museums, sights, experiences and restaurants day to day life keeps me from and walking EVERYWHERE.

 Cats or dogs? Neither

ELENA MINTON - Finance Director

Where you come from: I come from Moscow, Russia, which is just like NYC: cosmopolitan, busy and exciting; but also very different.

Why you love numbers: Every business has a story. I feel that numbers allow us to step back and see the big picture. They clearly illustrate success and indicate the areas the business owner needs to pay particular attention to. I don’t think the numbers are the most important thing for the business. However, I believe that without proper financial planning and accounting it is very easy to lose direction.

If you weren’t working at Relish and could be doing anything you wanted to do everyday  - what would it be? Roaming around the world, swimming in the oceans and eating good food!

If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be? Australia? Oh wait- I am going there this summer! ;)

Cats or dogs? Dogs! I respect cats for their independence, but dogs absolutely have my heart!

Anything else? I love learning new things and meeting new people. I wish there was more time in a day!

JASON HUNZIKER - Account Manager

MITCHELLE BOKA - Account Associate

Where you come from: I’m a proud African lady born and raised in the capital city of Zimbabwe, Harare then later moved to the United States to pursue a degree in accounting. I grew up in the high-density suburbs of Zimbabwe (neighborhoods for low income houses) where I used to help her father run a tiny deli(tuck-shop) as a cashier.

Why you love numbers: My love for numbers and accounting was inevitable because my father, who was my role model, was an accountant. From an early age I always knew I loved numbers but because of my passion for creativity and nature, if I could have it any other way, I would be florist.

If you weren’t working at Relish and could be doing anything you wanted to do everyday  - what would it be? Indonesia (Bali) because of its richness in nature and the possibility of getting a one-hour massage for next to nothing.

Anything else? I am a passionate, self-driven and a natural problem solver.

ELISE THOMSON-HOHL - Account Associate

Where you come from: I grew up and spent the majority of my twenties in the Philadelphia area; I enjoy living different places and might move around the rest of my life, but I will always call Philly home.

Why you love numbers? I love that numbers brought me to work at Relish because the company is badass (female owned and run) and the clients are super interesting.

If I wasn't working at Relish (and had unlimited funds): I would be eating and drinking my way around the world, and when I got bored of that (I never would) I would take classes during the day and create stuff with comedy friends at night.

If I could spend one week anywhere in the world it would be? Paris or somewhere with cable.

Dogs or Cats? I like both cats AND dogs #inclusive

Anything else? The food in New York City truly lives up to the hype.

SHILPY DHANDHANIA - Account Associate

Where you come from: India -The Land of Spices

Something that you love about numbers. I belong to family of CFAs, so numbers was always in my blood. The best thing I love about accounting is that it tells you a story- it tells you how you started your business, gives you a picture where you are now and what have you achieved . It gives you an insight what future might hold for you in measurable terms not basis just a gut feeling.

If you weren’t working at Relish and could be doing anything you wanted to do everyday  - what would it be? I would love to run a small café back in India with blend of Indian and international flavor.

If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be? Paris- My Dreamland !

Cats or dogs? No Cats please !

Anything else you want people to know about you? My simple rule in life- Work hard and party harder. Be good and Be humble !
