Our passion for food and entrepreneurship led us to launch Relish Food Project. We have over a decade of food start-up experience, with expertise in every aspect of the business – sales, marketing, finance, operations, management, human resources, capital-raising – you name it, we have done it. Through this, we have a deep understanding of how all aspects of a food business work together, where they often conflict, and how to track key metrics to reach goals. We are proud to be a part of today’s food movement and are excited by the rise in the number of natural and specialty food entrepreneurs. It's an exciting time as food advocates and artisans challenge the status quo. We want to help these companies grow and thrive and be a force for change. Relish Food Project proudly incorporated in January 2014 as a Benefit Corporation in NY State.


Dawn Techow, Co-founder of Relish Food Project. With experience in a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including COO at Peeled Snacks, Dawn understands the challenges that early-stage packaged food companies face as they compete on crowded shelves with limited budgets. Dawn helped to launch several social purpose businesses as a consultant at Seedco, where she published a business planning toolkit and was the second employee at Math for America, a teacher recruitment and training non-profit where she developed the programs and systems to turn an idea into a national organization. Dawn has a BA from Duke University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.  A native of Louisiana, Dawn now resides in Brooklyn, New York with her husband, 10-year-old son and her dog, Alexis. On days off, you can find Dawn and her family running 5Ks in Prospect Park.


Cassie Abrams, co-founder of Relish Food Project. Cassie brought her six years of experience working for Peeled Snacks, where she served in all aspects of the business, from sales and marketing to finance and operations. Most recently she worked as the VP of Finance and understands the difficulty of building consumer product brands on a tight budget in a competitive marketplace. Previously, Cassie worked as an elementary school teacher in the Bronx, NY.  Cassie is a graduate of Smith College and earned her MBA at Baruch College. Cassie lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, 2 adorable daughters and her dog, Roxy.  She loves all things food, both cooking and eating, and has a cult following for her chocolate chip cookies.  



Anna Schmidt serves as Finance Director with the Relish Team, drawing on her background in finance and specialty food. After working in real estate finance for over five years, Anna decided to change direction and pursue her passion in the specialty food industry, jumping head first into a start-up kitchen incubator in San Francisco. She worked as Director of Operations at Mother-in-Law’s Kimchi where she covered all aspects of day to day operations and helped launch their latest line of gochujang sauces. Anna earned a dual degree from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business in German and Real Estate.
